Shawndrika founded Learning Without Limits Academy with a simple yet powerful vision: to create a space where every child can be seen, supported, and given the opportunity to learn in a way that works for them.
After spending 16 years in traditional education, Shawndrika Harston saw firsthand how many students were falling through the cracks of a rigid, one-size-fits-all system. As a special education teacher, she worked with students who weren’t getting the support they needed—either being overlooked in overcrowded classrooms or held back from reaching their full potential.
Her passion for helping students succeed beyond the limitations of traditional schooling became even more personal when her own three children—ages 9, 8, and 7—struggled to thrive in multiple public and charter school settings. After witnessing these challenges both as a teacher and as a mother, she knew it was time for change.
That’s when Learning Without Limits Academy was born.
